Oscar de la Renta was one of the world's leading fashion designers. Trained by Cristóbal Balenciaga and Antonio Castillo, he became internationally known in the 1960's as one of the couturiers to dress Jacqueline Kennedy. Oscar de la Renta had a busy year in 1997, designing collections for his own brand as well as for Balmain and even Hillary Clinton’s dress for her husband’s inauguration. This breathtaking documented runway dress from an important year in the designer's career is not only rare, but so incredibly timeless. Fashioned in lined lightweight warm champagne silk, the garment's hourglass silhouette reads so modern, yet the impressive couture sequin work looks like it came from a 1920's French flapper dress! The beading is done in a mixture of iridescent glossy ivory sequins combined with darker bronze, creating the most stunning ombrè pattern. The impressive, complex graphic floral motif that runs throughout the dress is true wearable art at its finest. When the sequins hit the light it creates such dazzling sparkle! I love how the ombrè coloring hits darkest at the waist for such a slimming and figure flattering effect. Size down! But overall comfortable and cute and good quality

Overall it’s cute and comfortable, but my advice is to SIZE DOWN!!! I wish I would have, but I’ve already washed it so it’s too late. The straps are adjustable, but even so, I’ve had to tighten them as far as they’ll go. For reference, I am 5’1” and 125#, rectangle shaped/boxy body with a very small chest and I got a Small. The top gapes open on me and the dress is longer than I prefer for this style. Material/fabric is nice and good quality and it’s a perfect one-piece easy outfit for warm days. I like the yellow color too. It is tricky to find the right bra to wear with it, though. Got lots of compliments on it the first time I wore it.

Cute, Comfy & Flowy—Great for Plus Size!

I really like this dress!
It’s super comfortable and lightweight, and the material feels soft without being too thin. It has a nice flow to it, so it doesn’t cling to your body, which I really appreciate.
For reference, I’m 5’4” with a 46” bust, and the dress fits well overall. The length is great, and I love that it has a relaxed fit—it’s easy to throw on and still look put together.
The pockets are also a nice bonus and actually usable.
The only thing to note is the top area can be a little more open on the sides, so I personally prefer wearing a sports bra or something cute underneath. It actually works really well styled that way and gives that “layered” look.
Overall, it’s a really easy, comfortable dress that you can dress up or down. I’ll definitely be wearing this a lot!

Comfy but only for home use

I love the idea of this dress but my issues with it are as follows...
1. No support for breast at all. The body suit fits great and legs don't ride up but do have to wear a bra if you have more than a b cup.
2. I had to adjust straps to tightest level to avoid gapping. Once you do that you can't get it down to use restroom without loosening straps again.
3. Im pretty sure its meant to be shorter however, im 5ft 3" and it comes to my knees. Not a big deal for me since id rather it be like that.
4. I don't think it will still fit once its washed and dried since it fit perfect now. My measurements are 5ft3",195#, 36ddd, 32" waist and 45" hip. I ordered an xl.
5. It's unusually heavy and shows sweat pretty bad so wouldn't wear for tennis or any other sport.
6. It's designed for much larger breast. Im a 36ddd and it still gaps on me
The good part of it is... its super comfy to garden in or wear around the house so I may get one other size/color just for that but not sure id wear it out unless im at a campground lazing about (with a bra). I did order recommended size and fit correctly until its washed. It does also conceal weight but is not overly attractive on curvy women in my opinion

Postpartum Certified!! :)

I am currently a breast feeding mother who is only 5 weeks post partum. Heading into the summer I needed clothes that fit my changing body and gave me a little confidence that I’ve been lacking recently. This dress has completely done it!!
The material is extremely comfortable and not too tight on my body. It’s long enough to give me the coverage that I’m comfortable with but still makes me feel cute. Without knowing how to shop for or what size my body is at after birth, I listened to the comments and got a medium when I was thinking I might be a large and it fits great! Definitely size down though! I will be getting more!!!

Cute beach outfit

Cute summer lounge outfit. Material is similar to a T-shirt so it's breathable. The shape wear is built in and sturdy and unnoticeable under the dress part. I love the pockets, they easily fit your phone and other items. It's a perfect beach outfit, honestly, and super cute with sandals. I'm 5'7" 168lbs and wearing a size Medium.
Not necessarily a con, but something to note: if you're a thick thigh girlie like me, the legs of the shape wear do ride up if you're walking around a lot, so wouldn't recommend if that's something that bothers you.
